In this day of Yemeni history, 1963 saw the resignation of General Karl Horn, head of the UN Monitoring Committee during the Royalist Republic War. In 1967, Yemen signed an agreement with the Soviet Union to build the Baajil cement plant. In 1983, the first session of the Yemeni Supreme Council between the two factions concluded.
