In the 31 August "Dienas ziņas" program, we discuss current events in Latvia, its regions, and worldwide. Protesters in Sydney and elsewhere in Australia marched to protest immigration. Latvian designers were included among the 30 most creative in Europe, with their works selected for the European Union exhibition at EXPO Japan. Putin arrived in northern China to participate in a regional security summit. Tonight, the University of Latvia will host a student celebration titled "Aristotelis".
