Texas Gov. Greg Abbott warned Democrats who fled the state that the threat of arrest will last "literally years," as he plans to keep the legislature in special sessions indefinitely. Abbott said Democrats must return or face arrest, and he is also seeking to remove those who refuse to fulfill their legislative duties. About 50 Democrats left Texas, setting up in Illinois and New York with support from those states’ governors, Fox News has reported. Abbott also threatened to increase Republican redistricting seats if lawmakers don’t return.
