Qui Veut Gagner Des Millions 1st edition DVD, released in 2003 in France, is the first of four DVD‑based versions of the game. It contains a video featuring Jean‑Pierre Fouc explaining how to play, similar to the British version. The game is a polished update of the original 2002 DVD release, sharing the same cover and colour palette as the UK second edition. The Universal Studios prize draw associated with the game ended on 31 May 2004, shortly before the release of the second edition.
