The game by John Carpenter is a version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" for the Nintendo Wii, released in 2007 as the first game on the console in the UK and the first after the GBA Junior title. It uses a 15‑question format and features continuous music that only stops when a wrong answer is given or the final answer is reached, though the music abruptly cuts off at the £500,000 question. Unlike the second edition handled by Route1Games and Slam!, this edition is the only other title from Slam! Studios and Route1Games aside from a planned but unreleased World Tour compilation. It is the first Millionaire game officially announced as a first edition, despite being the fifth release on a major console after earlier titles by Eidos and Party Edition. The majority of questions were sourced from Sky Gamestar applications, and a DS port exists with a dedicated playlist of all John Carpenter games for that platform.
