Kellgren‑Lawrence (K/L) Knee Arthritis Grading System: The K/L system was originally described using Anterior‑Posterior knee X‑rays. Each radiograph is assigned a grade from 0 to 4 to denote increasing arthritis severity, where Grade 0 indicates no arthritis and Grade 4 indicates severe disease. Grade 1 shows possible osteophytes and doubtful narrowing of the joint space; Grade 2 shows definite osteophytes and possible joint space narrowing; Grade 3 shows definite osteophytes and moderate diminution of joint space; Grade 4 shows large osteophytes, greatly impaired joint space, and severe sclerosis or bony deformity.
