The video recounts the final days of Caliph Uthman ibn Affan, detailing the siege that lasted 30‑40 days and the rebels’ demands for him to step down, surrender, or fight to the death. Uthman questioned their motives, citing Qur’anic verses and his own history of defending the Muslim community, while the rebels invoked the same verses to justify their actions. He reminded them of his past deeds—climbing Uhud, financing the Battle of Tabuk, and providing water for the community—emphasizing that killing him would fracture the Ummah. Despite pleas from some companions to avoid conflict, Uthman refused to be the first to shed Muslim blood. On the night before his death, he dreamed of the Prophet and fasted, hoping to meet him. On the morning of his murder, he opened his door, recited the Qur’an, and was attacked by the rebels who struck him with a stick and a sword, severing his hand and eventually killing him. The crowd dispersed, and Uthman was buried secretly near the Baqi. His death sparked political and theological turmoil, leading to the emergence of the Khawarij and Shi’a factions, and the video clarifies common misconceptions about the roles of Aisha, Ali, and others in the event.
