Kösem is sent to the old palace, and with Sultan Ahmed’s death a great crisis begins. While Ahmed’s death is kept secret, Kösem writes a decree that will change everything for her children. She allies with Halime Sultan and encourages Mustafa to take the throne. Halime, when her son becomes the sultan, disregards the agreement. When Kösem goes to the old palace, all her children are locked in the prison. Osman blames Kösem Sultan for what happened to him, creating a great tension between mother and son. To remove Mustafa from the throne, Kösem plans, and Halime orders his murder. Osman, trying to escape the prison, becomes a threat, and Kösem moves closer to death.
