In the 16th century, Obernai experienced a golden age of crafts and viticulture, though it was later affected by the Thirty Years' War. Today, the town is renowned for its intimate and warm Christmas market, where visitors can stroll through illuminated streets, enjoy traditional Alsatian treats like gingerbread and white mulled wine, and shop for local crafts. The market opens on Friday, November 25 at 4 p.m. and runs through December 24 and 31.
