Plump Kaleej Pheasant walks wildfilmsindia fields of Arum Lily and Peonies in western Himalaya

The Kalij Pheasant, also known as the Kaleej Pheasant, is seen walking through the understory of oak and Rhododendron forest in the western Himalaya. During the day it forages for lichens, moss, insects, and plant food, while at night it ascends the upper branches of oak trees to roost, where the male displays its bright white crest and fleshy red eye patches to attract females.
