The series traces her journey as a young lawyer in the 1936 Kingdom of Yugoslavia, where she marries a conservative judge, Tom Đurović, only to separate after the first night due to a rumored pre‑marital affair. Facing social scrutiny in Belgrade, she relocates to Trebinje, meets new people, and meets the ghosts of her past, while Nenad’s aviation career weaves into her future.
