Rinkēvičs pēc tikšanās ar Izraēlas prezidentu: Latvija šobrīd neplāno atzīt Palestīnas valsti

After meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Edgars Rinkēvičs stated that Latvia currently does not plan to recognize Palestine. The Israeli president, who arrived for an official visit to Latvia, emphasized that first the Hamas militants must be freed. The visit was accompanied by a Palestinian support demonstration. Israel has the right to self‑defence, but the humanitarian situation in Gaza must also be considered, ensuring food and medical aid for civilians.
