In today's Daily Fix, CD Projekt wowed the internet after a Witcher 4 demo running on a base PS5 was showcased at an Unreal Engine 5 event. They've confirmed the game will take a "console‑first" approach, which may upset PC gamers, but the dev team has good reason. Cyberpunk 2077 was developed with high‑end PCs in mind and then scaled down for last‑gen consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One; its launch on those platforms was a trainwreck, to say the least, and something CDPR wants to avoid for The Witcher 4. In other news, Borderlands 4's standard edition will not jump to $80 but will launch at $70, likely in response to the backlash Gearbox's Randy Pitchford faced after comments about a possible price hike. Finally, Nintendo's Switch 2 is a hit, but a few Pokémon fans are upset after losing decades of saved game progress when transferring to the new console.
