Three people were killed when a small plane crashed into the Pacific Ocean off Monterey, California, on Saturday night. The victims—Steve Eugene Clatterbuck, 60; James Vincent, 36; and Jamie Lee Tabscott, 44—were all California residents. The U.S. Coast Guard and local teams recovered the bodies early Sunday, with two found inside the plane’s submerged fuselage. The twin‑engine Beechcraft had taken off from San Carlos Airport and crashed near Point Pinos Lighthouse, NBC News has reported. The NTSB is investigating the cause, and the victims’ families have requested privacy.
