Dr. Bahador Bagheri, a lecturer in Persian language and literature at Khwarizmi University, has taught at Peking University for three years on invitation. He regularly uses beautiful Persian songs in his foreign‑language classes, which students enjoy and memorize. In the final week of the current course, students from various majors performed Homayoun Shajarian’s new, uplifting song “Bāyad kharīdaram shavī,” with lyrics by Zendeh‑yaad Rahimi and music by Anoushirvan Rohani. Earlier, he had shared other student performances, such as “Jān Jān Jān,” which gained significant viewership. The recent performance also included former students and first‑year Persian‑language majors. He encourages viewers to share and support these cultural and literary efforts.
