★ 4K 🇫🇷 Argentan - Granville cab ride, France [Autumn 2022] BB 67400

In this video, we travel from Argentan, a town in northwestern France with a population of over 13,000, to the coastal port town of Granville. The line was opened in sections between 1866 and 1870, providing a direct connection from Granville to Paris Montparnasse. Railway enthusiasts may recall a picture of a steam engine that overran a buffer stop in Paris, smashing through the station wall and plunging onto the pavement; the train in question was an express from Granville. Watching the video, you might notice that the track bed appears wide enough for a double track line, which was indeed the case before a line renewal between 1994 and 1999 reduced most of the line to single track. You will also see many stations that are no longer served; a stop at one of these stations is possible for larger groups if arranged in advance. Our train consists of two diesel‑electric locomotives of the type BB 67400, built between 1969 and 1975, powered by a V16 Pielstick engine.
