72 Mela Raga Malika | Mahavaidyanathan Sivan | Mahati Nada Kendra | Learning Series - Episode 1

Mahati Nada Kendra presents Shri Mahavaidyanathan Sivan's 72 Melaragamalika as a unique learning series. With the blessings of our gurus, we are proud to bring a series of episodes that aim to teach the monumental composition of Shri Mahavaidyanathan Sivan. Each episode will feature one chakra of the melakarta scheme, along with easy to follow instructions by our guru here - Smt. Rekha Prasad. At the end of the learning part, we have a "punaravartane" or revision section with the notation at the bottom that learners can follow along as we sing the whole chakra at once. We hope that this presentation can be of use to students and connoisseurs of Carnatic classical music, and a tool to learn and understand the magnum opus of a great composer and singer - Shri Mahavaidyanathan Sivan.
