Diogo Jota, Liverpool forward, died in a car crash in Spain at age 28. He was driving a Lamborghini with his younger brother, Andre Silva, when a tyre blow-out caused the vehicle to crash and catch fire in Cernadilla, Zamora province. Jota had recently undergone surgery and was on his way from Porto to Santander to catch a ferry to England for pre‑season training.
