EU hits back at Trump, Zelenskyy comments, no concessions in Ukraine before Putin ceasefire

The EU rejected President Trump’s proposal for Ukraine and Russia to “swap” territory, insisting no concessions should be made until Russia agrees to a full, unconditional ceasefire with security guarantees. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said any U.S.-Russia deal must include Ukraine and the EU, stressing that all occupied Ukrainian territory must be returned and aggression cannot be rewarded. The stance comes ahead of Trump’s planned Friday meeting with Vladimir Putin, which has drawn criticism from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who vowed not to cede land, Fox News has reported. European leaders also reaffirmed that peace in Ukraine cannot be decided without Kyiv’s involvement.
