Focke Wulf 190 A8, flown by Klaus Plasa, chased a Supermarine Spitfire Mk.18 piloted by Rob Davies during the Hangar 10 Fly In 2019. The event was filmed at the hangar, and the participants thanked everyone who helped make it happen. The Fw190 is powered by an 82‑T 14‑cylinder double‑row radial engine, comparable in power and size to the original BMW 801, built in Karl Marx Stadt/Chemnitz. Though the design is Russian, the engine remains a German creation.
