Furious Spanish protesters spray tourists with water pistols

In June 15, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese locals protested mass tourism by spraying tourists with water pistols, using smoke bombs, flares, and megaphones. In Barcelona, demonstrators targeted the Sagrada Familia, sprayed water guns, and posted stickers urging tourists to leave. Protesters cited housing crises, rising rents, and environmental impacts, demanding a shift away from tourism-driven economies. Similar actions occurred in Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza, Malaga, Granada, Genoa, Naples, Palermo, Milan, Venice, and Lisbon, organized by the Southern Europe Network Against Touristification.
