"Гимн демократической молодежи мира" - Soviet Internationalist Song (Anthem of the WFDY)

The Anthem of the Democratic Youth of the World (Гимн демократической молодёжи мира) is the official anthem of the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY), an international socialist anti‑war organization founded in 1945. The song was composed by Anatoly Novikov and written by Lev Oshanin in 1947. It was originally part of an anti‑fascist initiative to unite the Allies of World War II against oppression, but after the West adopted anti‑communist policies the WFDY shifted to a more left‑wing, anti‑imperialist platform that it maintains today. The WFDY also hosts the World Festival of Youth and Students.
