When Brittany talks about a new fashion shop called Failed State, Porter convinces Carl to tell her he works there, hoping it will boost his popularity. Carl then goes through a job interview and, with Porter's help, lands a stocking job. An old woman asks him to try on a dress, and he feels out of his depth, especially when she asks him to twirl in the shop. Fashion guru Franz notices him and hires him to be the star of his fashion show. Meanwhile, Jane and Alex struggle to finish a business assignment on time, but Carl's new fashion role saves the day.
