Jal murghi or White breasted Waterhen decides to nest in a shrub, surveys the environment for danger

Quietly seated in the monsoon humid heat, a White‑breasted waterhen sits on her nest in a shrub, with Lapwings calling all around and the profusion of monsoon awaiting the newborn chicks. The female has made her nest inside a clump of water plants in a pond, laid a clutch of five eggs, and now keeps them safe and at the right temperature so her chicks can hatch.
