Enthusiasts attempted to recreate the bullet‑proof suit worn by Keanu Reeves in the film "John Wick." After nearly a year of experimenting with various materials and combinations, they succeeded in producing a wearable, flexible, and, most importantly, bullet‑proof vest—specifically the top part consisting of a jacket and vest. The jacket features 20 layers of Kevlar cut at a 45‑degree angle and stitched together in a special way, resulting in a total thickness of just 4.3 mm. Kevlar is a high‑strength, heat‑resistant synthetic fiber. The tailoring was performed by an anonymous specialist whose face and voice were concealed. For the bullet‑proof test, the same weapons used in the film were employed: a SIG Sauer P226 pistol and a Kriss Vector machine pistol.
