Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has responded to the Supreme Court's observations concerning her brother and Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi. The court had remarked on his statements about China, questioning them and stating a "true Indian" would not have said such things. In response, Priyanka Gandhi stated, "With due respect to the honourable judges, they do not decide who is a true Indian." She asserted that it is the duty of an opposition leader to question the government and that her brother holds the Indian army in the highest respect, terming the issue a "misinterpretation."
