Plumes of smoke over the central Gaza Strip are seen across the Israeli border as Israeli operations in the territory continue. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday he was sending a team to Qatar for talks on a truce and hostage release in Gaza, after Hamas said it was ready to start negotiations "immediately".
