UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and several other European leaders will join Ukraine's President Zelensky for a meeting with US President Trump at the White House on Monday. The meeting between Zelensky and Trump comes after talks between the US and Russian presidents failed to reach a deal on ending the Ukraine war. Following his meeting with Putin in Alaska on Friday, Trump had a major shift in position. He wants to bypass a ceasefire in Ukraine and move directly to a permanent peace agreement.
