3 Reasons You’re Bad At Chess

Three reasons you suck at chess.

Number one, you do too many puzzles.

Your chess.com account probably looks like this.

That's because puzzles all have solutions.

It's basically like doing Sudoku.

Play more games, analyze them, and see what opportunities you're missing in your games.

Number two, you trade too much.

Equality is good in society, but it's not good in chess.

You gotta stop playing games that look like this.

Don't just make trades because they're fair trades.

See which side is happier.

And number three, you're selfish.

All you do in a chess game is worry about what you want.

Like look at this position.

So many of you here would go, D5 is a good move.

It's defended and I attacked the knight.

And then all of a sudden your opponent goes here and you walk into a fork.

But you could have known what your opponent was gonna do.

So see what the opponent wants and stop it.

Less puzzles, equality is bad and stop being selfish.
