Description:

In this video we examine the compact airsoft mortar “Ogonyok” and the 40 mm certified MSM40 mortar shots from StrikeArt. The concept for this mortar originated in the game “Front Line,” where players needed a quick‑approach weapon that could deliver looping shots from 50–60 m over a hill to disable fortifications or take down an enemy base while retreating. Its purpose is sabotage and offensive support, requiring light weight, mobility, and single‑person operation. The MCM40 shot contains a knockout charge with a paper membrane, a pyro element with a moderator, and a pea filler, all housed in a 40 mm diameter, 110 cm long cardboard tube that matches the dimensions of VOG‑Tulpan grenade launcher rounds and fits most VOG bandoliers and pouches. The mortar itself consists of three main parts: the barrel, glow plugs, and battery compartment.
