An Australian visits Russia for the first time! (SAINT PETERSBURG)

Saint Petersburg is my favourite city! This is the second video from my sister’s trip to Russia. I immediately told her—you can’t come to Russia and not see Saint Petersburg. It’s an absolute must! I’ve already mentioned in other videos how much I love this city. To me, it’s the birthplace of modern Russia, where history is not just preserved but woven into everyday life. I especially love the plaques on historic buildings marking where famous people lived. These little details connect the past with the present, and I find the stories behind them incredibly fascinating. When Patrick and I first came to Russia in 2024, Saint Petersburg was the first city we visited. Seeing it in the summer, I was enchanted. They say first impressions are the strongest, and this city definitely lived up to that.
