I loved this movie.
It was so fun.
It was such an action-packed ride.
Tell me why this is a must-see for those action comedy fans.
Well, you've got the world's sweethearts, me and Jason Statham, a match made in heaven.
The pair that people didn't know they needed to see.
Right, darling?
Aubrey, I kind of loved you in this badass role, kind of kicking ass, kind of embracing your inner Bond girl.
What was it like for you to take this on?
It was great.
I've been really wanting to channel my anger and my rage into something and take down the bad guys.
I've been wanting this for a while.
So finally I got my shot in a Guy Ritchie movie, Dream Come True.
It was the most fun, yeah.
I feel like we all need a role like this after these last two years where we can just take our anger out.
We need this.
We all need to be in a car with Josh Hartnett being driven, you know, very fastly off a cliff, all together, collectively.
I love that.
Jason, was Aubrey as much fun as she is right now on set?
What was it like working with her?
Oh, she was a terrible diva.
She wanted tea stirring one way, two sugars stirring the other way, massage my feet in between takes, Jason.
Where's my robe, Jason?
All these things.
Can you carry me?
Can you give me a piggyback to my trailer, please, Jason?
I mean, you don't, the list goes on.
But you know what?
Being the trooper, I did all of those things.
I've heard this before all over Dumas, Aubrey, that you're a diva.
Listen, my craft is important.
And there are certain things that I need to work properly.
I don't care what movie I'm in.
I don't care if it's Guy Ritchie or Statham or whatever.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jason, you and Guy, of course, have this longstanding friendship and you've produced so many successful films.
How does he get you to sign on for another film with him?
Does he have to really work at getting you to do it or are you all in?
You know, he sort of dangles some sort of dollar bills in front of me and then he adds to those and then he adds a little bit more and then he has a big wodge.
No, you know what?
It's very easy to say yes to the man.
You know, he started my career a couple of decades ago and you know what you're getting into with him.
I love what he does.
I love his process.
I like kicking around with him and it doesn't take long for me to say yes.
Did you ever think that 25 years ago when you first met and he noticed something in you that you would still be making Guy Ritchie films?
Well, I think it'd be rather presumptuous to think you've got more than one film in your pocket.
It's a funny old industry.
You never know.
Careers go up and down and you do a couple of bad films and your career's over.
So it's an unpredictable science.
You have to get a little bit lucky with some of it.
And you never know what's beyond the first movie you do.
You only ever think it's the only movie you're ever going to do.
you know here we are you know several movies later i love it you guys have been a very successful duo um okay so in this movie you two recruit jace uh josh hartnett's character to help with your mission if this were to happen in real life what movie star might you recruit
I'm just going to go with Nicolas Cage.
I just think he's foolproof.
He doesn't cause a scene.
He keeps it real subtle and calm.
Nobody would even notice he's there kind of thing.
So I'm just going to stick with that one.
Jason?
I'd have, I think we'd probably get Brad Pitt in, you know, keep the girls happy, keep the boys happy.
Everyone's happy.
All right.
Yeah, that's better.
Brad Pitt's a good one.
I think I might pick him also.
Nicolas Cage, interesting choice.
Forget it, forget it, forget it.
I don't know why I said it.
I'm stupid.
I'm an idiot.
Jason, going back to this movie, you have some crazy fight scenes.
You've been doing this for a while, but is it getting any harder to pull off these fight scenes?
Any injuries?
Uh...
Hey, look, it's always a... Look, these fight scenes, I'll just give you an example.
These fight scenes are normally sort of rehearsed.
You know, you work it out with a few stuntmen a couple of days before or, you know, depending on how the choreography is.
When you do it with Guy, he likes to turn up on the day and pick a prop from some passerby and incorporate that into the made-up choreography that happens to be made up five minutes before you film it.
It's a very unorthodox approach.
But if you're free of anxiety, you can get it done.
So I actually think he's about the only person working in cinema today that I would feel comfortable with that kind of approach.
He's very organic.
He's a very skilled, talented man in the world of martial arts and combat.
So only someone like that would I sort of give that reign to.
So, yeah, there was no rehearsals.
It was on the day and away we went.
Oh, my God.
So he's definitely a challenge is you for sure, even after all this time.
Yeah, it is a challenge because, you know, a lot of the time, the timing you need with these stunt guys, you know, some of the guys that we were fighting with weren't actually stuntmen.
It's quite a bit of a dance and you need that rehearsal and the timing so you don't get whacked around the head by someone who thinks they should be kicking when they should be really punching.
There's an element of memory that's required.
