BBC One's film matinee tomorrow afternoon is The Wreck of the Married Deer, based on the novel by Hammond Innes.

Gary Cooper plays the enigmatic captain of a freighter charged with negligence when he allows his ship to run aground.

Sabotage, mystery and intrigue unfold in The Wreck of the Married Deer tomorrow at 2.25.

No such mystery surrounds the cause of the wrecked Cambridge boat, which forced the annual university boat race to be postponed until later on today, and BBC One has live coverage of the rescheduled race starting at 1.25.

And the weather for it?

Tomorrow will be similar to today, a lot of dry, cold and cloudy weather, with only a few sunny intervals.

The brightest areas will be in the south and west.

Northern Scotland will have some wintry showers and sunny intervals.

Maximum temperatures will be around 6 centigrade, that's 43 Fahrenheit.

Some confusion has apparently arisen over the date when we put the clocks forward an hour, marking the start of British summer time.

In case you were under the impression that it happens tonight, let me hasten to assure you that it's next weekend, so you can leave the clocks as they are for another week.

Well, the time now is coming up to 21 minutes past one, and if you're still feeling in the mood for company, Radio 2 is the place to find it with Peter Dixon's Night Ride, and it's followed by a country concert presented by Wally Whiten starting at 3am.

But from all of us at the Television Centre, goodnight to you.
