Today we will talk about beetles. What do we know about them? Of course we know, we have seen them. These are the same armored cars with tenacious paws, antennae and an incredible variety of shapes and colors. Who among us has not seen a May beetle – this is the same clumsy flyer that loves to make noise on warm spring evenings, crashing into everything and falling on our heads. Or a handsome stag beetle, decorated with huge horns, reminiscent of the weapons of a medieval knight. Many admired the ladybug, trustingly crawling on the palm of the hand, bright and harmless in appearance. And here is a swift ground beetle, a real orderly of forests and gardens, a tireless hunter of slugs, snails and harmful insects. And what about a unique hard‑worker beetle, which diligently rolls its ball of dung all day long, where it rolls it and why. And in the darkness of the night, magical fireflies glow mysteriously – beetles that are able to create their own light and turn the forest into a fairytale place.
