Black & Gold ft W Chalk Freshies 💕💕

I think the black dyed is also W chalk! I crushed this some time ago and gave a sneak peak to members so this is the full crush! I used a new black dye method and I’m pretty certain the black is more vibrant! I have to buy more black dye and try again! For me the freshies were just as good, what a chalk. W chalk is among my fav for sure 😅💕. We are still in Lent, I went to Stations of the Cross this morning. It’s a faith practice of meditating along the way of the cross with Jesus - there are 14 stations, from the moment He was condemned to death to the moment He died and was buried. And it’s so relatable because you see Him, the Innocent one, take up His cross and suffer with such love and grace. It’s relatable because even though we are not innocent, we all suffer. His example of HOW He suffered and His attitude during the suffering - surrender and love - is really worth emulating. That’s why He asks us to each deny ourselves, take up our own crosses and follow Him. And make no mistake - there is a lot of denying one’s self involved here. My self would not allow me to humble myself in the face of disrespect, because who are you to talk to me or treat me that way? My self would not allow me to submit to the will of God - because why should I when there are initiatives I could take to solve the problem? My self would not allow me to give of myself to others when I too am struggling with time and energy etc. Denying myself is really the part about this that is a struggle for me. If I can just deny myself, then carrying the cross would be easier. St Mother Teresa of Calcutta says to love until it hurts. That is literally the definition of denying ourselves because the world tells us love must feel good. Girl, no, love until it hurts means exactly what it means. It’s too easy to love in convenience, I’m am pretty sure we need to go beyond convenience.
