Zelenov is temporarily appointed as the head of the District Department of Internal Affairs. His girlfriend Sasha is taken under state protection, and it’s hard to tell when they will meet again. Zhuzhukalo introduces Zelenov to Alik, the IAD analyst. Alik thinks that Zelenov let Antonov, who manipulated him, escape. Alik tells how deputy Mityai, Antonov, late Letyagin and Kolesnikov are tied up, and why Mityai wanted to get rid of all three of them. It turns out that Antonov tried to get rid of his partners to own a plot of land for business, which was Mityai’s idea. Antonov set things up to get into prison as a hideout. And now it’s Antonov who staged his kidnapping. Paul, Zhuzhukalo, Misha Shevchuk and Zelenov head to get Antonov. Mityai finds out that IAD people are taking Antonov to an unknown place and orders his men to stop them at any cost…
