🇺🇸 🇺🇦 EPIC ORCHESTRAL VERSION of Щедрик / Carol of the Bells / Shchedryk (by Sharovaari)

Shchedryk, originally composed by Mykola Leontovych in the early 20th century, is based on a Ukrainian folk chant that welcomes the New Year. In 1921 the Ukrainian National Chorus performed the piece at Carnegie Hall, and later Peter J. Wilhousky arranged it for orchestra and added new English lyrics, creating the well‑known Carol of the Bells. The original a cappella version was intended for a mixed four‑voice choir. This video presents an orchestral rendition of the song, created in collaboration with Ukrainian composers Sharovaari.
