Hiker rescued from Indonesian volcano where Brazilian tourist died last month

A Swiss tourist has miraculously survived a fall from the same volcano where a Brazilian tourist died last month. Benedikt Emmenegger, 46, was descending a treacherous slope on Mount Rinjani when he slipped and fell from the trail at around 11:25 am on July 16. He survived the fall but was left unable to move due to an injury. Just like Juliana Marins, 26, from Rio de Janeiro, the Swiss man was unable to climb back to safety. However, mountain rescue teams arrived this time and provided first aid to Benedikt before he was airlifted to hospital.
