Les Terrasses is a small mountain hamlet village in the commune of La Grave, classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France. Situated at an altitude of 1800 m, it is known for its typical stone chalets and lies in front of the peak of La Meije (3984 m). The best time to climb La Meije is from July through September, when temperatures range from 15 °C to 20 °C and the peak is generally dry, receiving less than 75 mm of rain during those months.
