Live from Moss Side (Part 2): Bionic & the Wires at Boiler House

Filmed at Manchester's Boiler House. All the performance is improvised. The custom-built bionic arms and sensors translate the natural, unseen rhythms of living organisms into atmospheric soundscapes and botanical beats. The grey oyster mushroom is 'speaking' 50 words triggered by it's own bioelectrical pulses. Mushrooms may possess a form of communication, with a 2022 study suggesting they use electrical impulses to form patterns resembling up to 50 "words" in a language.
