Yup, every two rallies there is one that ends on an additional day with one race on a Super Special Stage, which is an intricate figure-eight layout where two cars race on it at the same time, starting at set points. In Rally Mode it still counts as an actual stage though, so losing to your opponent only really causes you to lose time on the leaderboard. There is a mode where it IS a true 1v1 on these Super Special Stages and losing does incur Game Over status... but we'll get there later. Much later. Oh, and the other two stages are reverses of stages we've already been on. 9 is reverse of 5 and 10 is reverse of 8... and now I've got to go and double check that. Go me.
