Megan Kelly loses patience with Trump over Epstein saga

Broadcaster Megyn Kelly, normally a defender of Donald Trump, expressed her exasperation with his administration over the handling of the Epstein case. She called the backlash "self‑inflicted" and agreed with Piers Morgan that Trump and his officials had led people "up to the water’s edge and then not given anyone a drink." Kelly criticized the memo issued by Attorney‑General Pam Bondi that effectively closed the Epstein case, saying whoever had told the Justice Department to bury it and let the public move on should be fired. She called the person an idiot who didn’t understand the Republican base, and noted that the two men Trump appointed to lead the FBI—Kash Patel and Dan Bongino—were the only ones who believed there was more to the Epstein story, which is why Republicans were pleased to see them in charge.
