In this video, Jeremy Cioara explains WPA2‑Enterprise, how it differs from WPA‑Personal, and why it should be deployed on large networks. Unlike WPA‑Personal, which relies on a pre‑shared key that is impractical and insecure for hundreds or thousands of users, WPA2‑Enterprise uses a RADIUS server to authenticate devices. The server can accept various authentication methods such as certificates, username/password combinations, or thumbprints. Because the access points simply forward authentication requests to the RADIUS server, changes to access policies can be made centrally, eliminating the need to distribute new passcodes whenever users join or leave the organization.
