My Summer Story - 1994 Comedy: Charles Grodin I Kieran Culkin I Mary Steenburgen

The film takes place in the summer of 1941, following the events of A Christmas Story, which occurred in December 1940. It includes three plot lines, one for 10-year-old Ralphie, his father, and his mother, followed by a recurring subplot involving him and his father on a fishing expedition that is sometimes unproductive until one night when all fish are caught. This also fosters an unnecessary preoccupation in Ralphie's 7-year-old brother Randy, much to Mrs. Parker's chagrin.
