A Liberian cargo ship, the W-Sapphire, caught fire and exploded Monday evening in Baltimore Harbor, near the site of last year’s Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse. The blast sent black smoke into the air, but all 23 crew members and two pilots were reported safe, with no injuries or property damage. Fireboats contained the incident, and the ship remains afloat while the Coast Guard investigates, WTOP News has reported.
