Pakistan tests ballistic missile as tensions with India soar

Pakistan conducted a training launch of a surface-to-surface missile on Saturday (May 3) according to the military's media wing. The Pakistan military’s Inter Services Public Relations department (ISPR) released a video on Saturday showing a missile being launched in an unknown location, followed by footage of military officers chanting in Urdu, “Allah is the greatest! Long live Pakistan”. The missile test comes against a backdrop of heightened tensions between Pakistan and India, following a deadly attack on tourists in Kashmir that killed 26 people and drew blame from New Delhi towards Islamabad. Pakistan denies involvement in the attack and has since said it has "credible intelligence" that India intends to launch military action.
