Prince Harry visits Angola's minefields, following in Diana's footsteps

Prince Harry followed his mother's footsteps during a visit to Angola's minefields on Wednesday (July 16), recreating her iconic walk past skull and crossbones warning signs. During the visit, Harry joined a kids' safety class where he repeated phrases in Portuguese to prevent children from detonating lethal devices left behind from the civil war that ended in 2002. The Duke of Sussex also worked with local de‑miners and participated in the demolition of two anti‑tank mines. Harry's visit is part of his mission to raise awareness of The Halo Trust's work to clear landmines, which are estimated to have killed or injured tens of thousands of Angolans during and after the country's 27‑year civil war.
