Russians are approaching Pokrovsk, with enemy forces having moved within 2 kilometers of this key city in the Donetsk region. The city is under attack from air bombs, artillery, and drones, including FPV drones that have penetrated the city itself. Despite the frontline being dangerously close, over 7,000 locals remain in Pokrovsk, according to officials, while the city lacks water, heating, and electricity. At the end of December, hromadske journalists spent two days in Pokrovsk, speaking with soldiers defending the city and locals who chose not to evacuate.
