Welcome to Defending Australia for 2025, where industry leaders and government heavyweights come together to discuss the threats looming over our country and the future of Australia's security.

Advertiser editor Gemma Jones created Defending Australia only three years ago, and each year the event has grown exponentially.

I wanted Defending Australia 2025 to achieve two things.

To highlight the courageous Australians who have signed up to either the Navy, Army or Air Force or defence industry careers and to use Defending Australia as a call to action among our millions of readers to raise the profile of either a career in the military or in defence building.

The second was to highlight the threats and challenges of our time and HR and Alexander do just that.

Defending Australia has grown dramatically in three years to reach millions of Australians across News Corp mastheads and is delivering on raising in the mindset of Australians the security challenges our nation faces and highlighting the skills mission.

This forum is certainly establishing itself as one of the most dynamic and important and incredibly demanding policy area that is changing in quick time.

With the introduction of new capabilities and technology, we are witnessing a transformation that not only enhances our defence strategies, but also offers the promise of lifelong careers within the industry.

Bringing these campaigns to life requires courage and thought leadership from dedicated partners.
