Video Transcription

We've got a strong thunderstorm ongoing here.

This is well west of the Houston area, making its way into Wharton, El Campo.

A whole lot of lightning.

Could see some small hail, some winds gusting 40 to 50 miles per hour as well.

But in the city of Houston, and really for most of Harris County, not a whole lot going on.

at least for now.

But without that rain to stabilize the atmosphere, it actually increases our chance to see some development later on today.

I'm talking late morning into the early afternoon.

We're going to monitor 13 alert radar for the potential for some strong storms to pop up.

You can tune into ABC 13 at 11 a.m. Of course, watch weather now at noon on the ABC 13 stream.

I'll keep you up to date on the very latest as the storm chances continue in southeast Texas.
